Caroline Kennedy

Chief Marketing Officer

A perpetual student of disruption, Caroline helps organizations create business value at the intersection of go-to-market strategy and creativity. In her current role, she is responsible for Material’s global commercial strategy, oversees a portfolio of clients in the health and social enterprise sectors and leads the firm’s market strategy and corporate reputation initiatives.

She previously served in the role of Chief Marketing Officer and as a Division President, where she managed the consolidated P&L and integration of five agency businesses. Her deep expertise in strategic communications was forged over decades in creative and design agency roles—as both an entrepreneur and leader—advising brand and institutional leaders on strategy and reputation management.

Caroline’s career is defined by leading through periods of seismic shift. Beyond her executive remit, Caroline serves on the boards of The International Stock Exchange (TISE) and the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX). Her commitment to creative disruption is further evidenced by her nine-year tenure as Trustee and Vice Chair for Opera Philadelphia, during which the institution achieved international acclaim and recruited one of the world’s foremost countertenors as its leader.

Born in Dubai and having lived both internationally and in the U.S., Caroline brings a uniquely global lens to her work. She is a member of the Wall Street Journal’s Leadership Institute and CMO Council, as well as the Forbes Communications Council. Caroline is an alumna of Calvin University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts.
